This stately Victorian home built in 1893 is framed completely of heart pine cut from the original estate. Historically, the Coleman House has served many roles during the past century. One noteworthy occupant was the Georgia State Patrol. It was also used as a boarding house for teachers of Colquitt County in the early part of the 1900's. Families have also lived here and loved it too.

The Coleman House has been placed on both the Georgia and National Registers. Historic documentation by the National Register state

"The Coleman House is probably the most imposing and elaborate late Victorian house in Colquitt County , (in or out of Moultrie ). It employs various Queen Anne details including a second story gazebo and colored glass. Its solid construction in pine is indicative of the importance of the lumber industry in the region."

Today's owners, Jim and Linda Tuten, purchased the home with the dream of returning it to its Victorian roots. This dream has become a reality.
